This was the basement level of a clients house in Andorra. It used to be used as a large, open plan office space, but since building an extension, which now, in part, accommodates an office, this space had become largely unused. 

We were tasked with dividing the floor space into a children’s playroom / chillout space, a corridor section through to the garage / boot room with plenty of storage space, knocking through the existing wall and turning the staircase to accommodate a cloakroom toilet where the stairs used to finish, and a utility room with sink, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge – freezer and again, plenty of storage space. 

We cleaned up and repointed the beautiful Andorran Stone and to really enhance it throughout the space we coated it in a clear matte sealant, which also stops any dust falling from the stone as well!

This stunning open barn, will eventually be turned into an outside dining area, with a full kitchen, barbecue and even a pizza oven! Although, sadly, we say eventually, deliberately, as all of the projects we have done for this client have been completed in phases, and we are currently still waiting to put the roof on! 

The building was generally dilapidated and in need of some dramatic changes to reinstate it to its former glory. It had gotten to the point it was out right dangerous, but our client did not want to loose the building, and so set us to work. 

We took off roughly half of the roof and also had to knock down about a third of the structure, as it was all badly compromised. Excavating new footings and recasting a large section of the wall in concrete to shore up the building structurally. 

Using templates, we rebuilt each of the arches individually, to match back in perfectly with the originals. As aforementioned, we have not been back to put the roof on yet, but as and when we do, we will provide an update!
